"Remembered Ones"

Shakespeare, son of Flower and Zaphod, was born on November 8, 2002, along with Mozart, Einstein and Freud; all of the Whiskers family.

I made very few entries dedicated to Shakespeare and, however, he was one of the most faithful Meerkats in when the Mob needed him.
In his first year (March 18, 2003), he lost one of his brothers, Freud.
But Shakespeare lived enough to take care of many young Meerkats; the long list included Monkulus, Armantia Ditch, Zarathustra, Mitch, Cruise and Jogu.
One day an enemy group attacked the Whiskers and took the little Mitch to leave him in the open, but soon it was Shakespeare who found and took him back to the security of their burrow.
On November 23, 2004, he was one of the brave Meerkats who cornered a Puff Adder Snake... Being bitten in face and leg. But some days later he was recovered from the venom and ready to continue his babysitting of newborns.
When Flower gave birth to Petra, Macchu Pichu, Ningaloo and Popkat, he was there to take care of the babies every time their mother was out to forage.
Staying always with Flower and Zaphod, Shakespeare kept doing his main job, and when some Meerkats of her group rejoined the Whiskers -Flower giving birth to Flo, Kim and Finn-, he babysat them as well.
But one day the Lazuli attacked their burrow; Shakespeare first protected the young Meerkats. After the Whiskers chased the enemies away, he disappeared and left his life on March 11, 2005.

Here are three pictures brought to remember him better, especially with the third.

"Mozart Relief And Happiness"

The December 23 was about to end, in many places of the World.
In the homeland of Meerkats, a soft but strange light could be seen as if coming from the sky... A light that seemed to grow as the hours went by.
The Starsky Mob had been foraging and having some problems with the Aztecs, who attacked them two or three times.
Suddenly all the members of both groups stopped right where each of them was, after having heard the cry made by a huge bird of prey; only this time, no one would think in running straight to the shelter of a burrow... They only stayed there, looking upwards, and soon this is what they saw:
The white, soft light spreading all over the desert seemed to get a little denser, having a globe-like shape with the size of the Moon. It stood there for hours, vanishing only after midnight, and only to return at dawn.
So, that very special day, it was like no one could think about food of any kind, under the influence of that strange new Moon. And no one was suffering from hunger.
When it returned, in Christmas Eve, it looked even bigger... Much closer to the ground. And it was so.
By midday, that Moon showed yet another mysterious shape: right in the middle, a little standing figure seemed to shine in gold and pink at the same time... When that figure appeared, all the newborns in the Kalahari felt refreshed, healthy and with their bellies full up. But, who was such benefactress presence?
Because along with the light had come a sensation of cold, but even with this no one was feeling bad.
Between the hours of evening and the night, the little Moon descended to the top of a tree, always with that presence inside.
And, could it be that it had little wings, like the Butterflies'? ...Well, yes: two pairs of them.
And could really be that the little figure looked so much like a Meerkat?
Again, yes, because that's exactly what the Starskys and the Aztecs saw immediately; and their eyes could never be wrong.
Finally, could it be that  some of the astonished watchers recognized that winged figure as one of them?
Well, the answer can only be: "Yes!" ...Because suddenly the little presence started to talk, somehow, from the tree; and her words were sent to all, no mattered if it was Bird, Meerkat or Snake.
"Maybe you are very surprised, my good enemies and very good old friends. But I felt the desire of making a little visit to some members of my family; and to my own surprise, I'm here".
"I won't talk about old times, now, they're a big shadow covering my past, which turned me into a dark Moon".
"Now I can't return; at least not yet, but there's only bright light in me... You should actually see me like a little star. But never mind, good people. My presence here has another reasons".
"I wanted to bring this very night, to my own homeland, a little gift from very far away. One wich could bring a new freshness to all who must live in this desert".
"So accept what I'm giving, everyone, and stay tonight creating white burrows that tomorrow will be a pleasant memory, because I don't think I can do it again next year".
The first snowflakes started to fall, from the grey mantle of light, covering the whole desert... Still over that tree, the faerie-like figure watched her "little world" being covered, but remembering for a moment her sorrowful past...
"No", she said to herself. "That's lost in my memory, now... And what was my name? Oh, of course, they called me Mozart. But even that, is in the shadows of my past. Right now, if they could see me, I'd like being called something like... 'Lady Faerie'. Yes, that would be a very good name".
"The only sorrow in me, this time, is the impossibility to join them and play -even with Eagles and Snakes-, all through this beautiful night... The night that snowed in the Kalahari".

Special - "Manor Meerketplace"

It's another normal day
in the Manor Meerketplace...
The Chocolate-Covered-Scorpions
are ready to be enjoyed.

Flower's tent is full of bugs...
Crunchy Scarabs, juicy worms.
For everyone in the desert
knows that all she makes is good.

Over there, of course, is Zaphod
with his new Obedience School;
on the other hand, Youssarian
selling Beetles warm or cool.

Needless to ask about Mozart...
There's no nursery like hers;
and all in the Kalahari
will take their children to her.

If you want to look much prettier
-and make boys go crazy as well-,
visit Tosca's Grooming Parlour,
you'll be soon the fairest girl.

Now if you just need protection
or maybe a good advice,
an expert is always waiting
right there, in the tent of Mitch.

You'll always spend happy days
in the Manor Meerketplace...
And whatever you may need
a smile will shine in your face.

"Mozart Relief And Happiness"

Oh, I almost forget this day... That little Princess was born in the first week of November along with other three Meerkats. Now this little song is for her; the music should be one of another song whose bottom line says "A circle complete... The graves of love" (I don't know the name).

Mozart, if you could be born again, what you would do?
Will all that sorrows be left behind, like traveled roads?
And if you can find that Knight always dreamed,
will all your children grow up without hate?

You had lived to suffer...
Those days are forever gone.

A great and ill fate always waited for you,
while arrows of sadness would follow your steps.
But nothing of that ever will reach your heart...
You'll come with a shield made of silver hope stars.

And when you're there, looking all the world around,
your children will make a tale of joy.

Mozart, if someday you live again under that Sun,
I hope he'll watch over you this time, between the sands.
And if a danger that comes from the sky
is going to take all you've gained by own right,
may even the Sun light
protect all your most loved ones.

And when you're there, in the place of Queen at last
that crown will make all your dreams come true.

"Mozart Relief And Happiness"

Mozart, sweet girl,
in your little Heaven
you're just great,
Princess Girl.
Mozart, Love-Star...
Not a single tear
will ever change
your smiling face.

We miss you,
we love you,
and cry for you...
But that's how things are here.
The only thing you must do,
is to shine with joy
like newborn stars
as much as you want.

Princess of Sands,
your tears have become
the longed rain,
bringer of hope.
Shed no more tears...
Even your lost children
will be there,
always for you.

You've been
after all
the best mother,
because a bleeding heart
is just as good as one
which can keep around
the ones that loves
and wants to care for.
(Your heart knows...).

Remember
to look
always forward,
and see what you may find...
For what we think it's lost
will return some day
a hundred times
and covered with gold.

Mozart, sweet girl,
if you're still in Heaven,
now I think,
that you're called there
"Princess Mother Star"
by many a soul,
Desert Girl.

My latest poem for Mozart, the Meerkat; the melody is the same of "Michelle, ma belle..."

"A New Series!!!"

These are images from a very special series,
as of cards produced by Wizards of the Coast.
I guess I did get first than them, because they
-as soon as they find an appropiated topic-,
call the illustrators and make a whole expansion
with a certan theme... In this case, I chose both the theme
and the name most appropiated that could have
the new series of special cards:
Meerkadian Masques...

"Mozart's Relief And Happiness"

Do you remember who you were
in that desert land so cruel ?
You were born to fight for your dreams
which fell from your broken heart.
Your life seemed a punishment
and you endured it all like a martyr...
Your love was big, but not so strong
against a life hard as stone.

Hold me tight... Calm your sorrows ;
Come, sweet girl... Forget all your sadness here.

Why do you tell me those things ?
Now I'm almost breaking down...
I can't believe that tragic life,
nobody suffers so much.
What have become of my dreams,
and where's the love I seem to have forgotten ?
If all you've said is just the thruth,
where I will find what I lost ?

Hold me now.. Calm yor sorrows here ;
come, sweet girl... Forget your old sadness here.
Hold me now...
for now you've gained a place reserved for Queens.

Don't stay sad,
cry only if you need...
There can't be sorrows here ;
and all you want
you will always have,
for those tears you've shed in life.

If my life after all
was an ocean of tears,
that my heart had to hide
while my eyes had inside...
there were no more ways
in which I could sail out
to reach this shore in my soulboat.

Now I know with all my heart
that I'm at last
where love can be so perfect,
and where my soul would like to stay
just to be part of every heart.
Yet if I stay here for long
while down on Earth there's someone
full of sorrows, I should take there
the love that's here
and change all sadness into joy.

Hold me tight... My little Angel.
hold me tight, your heart needs not to be blessed ;
come, sweet girl... Your love knows no frontiers ;
come, sweet girl... Your soul now needs to sleep here ;
hold me tight now... You don't have to go so soon ;
hold me tight... For now you'll live in the place,
in the place where you belong.

While The Queen Was Keeping Her Reign,
She Always Tried To Follow Her Heart.

"Mozart Relief And Happiness"

It's very hard to believe that someone so tender and caring have had to live with so much suffering, but that happened to Mozart ... The most unhappy girl in the Kalahari.

She took care of many other's babies ; went into the babysitting bureau to feed the kids while the rest had gone to a battle against the Lazuli, and when Flower came back Mozart started grooming her ; then always tried to stay by her family ; cared for Shakespeake when he was bitten by a puff adder ; stood by Carlos' side when he was dying, and then very close to Kinkajou when she was dying, even tough she had killed her pups.

It talks indeed of a heart where there was only place for the biggest love... A Saint's love.

"Mozart Relief And Happiness"

The unfortunate Mozart ... Never able to be a mother. But surely now she found some of what she most wanted and needed, even everything she couldn't have in this earth.
That girl, indeed, must have found the happiness which she didn't enjoyed there, she really has got to have reached it.

THE BEST OF THE BEST FOR YOU, LITTLE GIRL ...
YOU'RE THERE TO FORGET ALL SADNESS
